Maxx Crosby landing spots: Top 5 teams that should trade for $106,500,000 Raiders star

Maxx Crosby’s time with the Las Vegas Raiders may be over after a rift between him and the franchise. The Raiders are set for a battle with the New York Giants on Sunday, determining who gets the overall first pick in the next draft.

Ahead of the all-important game, the Raiders ruled out Crosby, citing a knee injury. The decision apparently didn’t sit well with the defensive end, who earlier voiced his disregard for the draft battle with the Giants.

According to reports, Crosby left the Raiders’ facility after a disagreement over getting shut down for the rest of the season. Having just signed a three-year $106.5 million extension in March, here are the top likely teams that could trade for the star defensive end.

5. Seattle Seahawks

A proven winner like Maxx Crosby will be a good fit for the Seahawks’ defense. With Boye Mafe nearing free agency and the clock ticking on DeMarcus Lawrence, Leonard Williams is the only solid option on Seattle’s edge. Adding another solid option in Crosby will be a great plus.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs’ defense has been a huge factor in their struggles this season, in addition to Baker Mayfield’s declining output. While injuries play a major role, the Bucs need more solid talent. This is especially so with Haason Reddick taking time to find his momentum. Acquiring Crosby is a reasonable move within their cap.

3. Washington Commanders

Washington has spent a lot of draft capital getting Deebo Samuel, Laremy Tunsil, and so on. However, they need to acquire a player like Maxx Crosby if they can afford to. It needs no telling, seeing Von Miller is their leading pass rusher. The Commanders need a new infusion of energy on their defense, and quickly, if they are to avoid repeating the same struggles next season.

2. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are in need of a rusher with Khalil Mack and Odafe Oweh set to become free agents. Only Tuli Tuipulotu has had more than four sacks on the Chargers’ roster this season apart from those two. Maxx Crosby’s situation with the Raiders provides a great opportunity for the Chargers to get reinforcement ahead of 2026.

1. New England Patriots

Harold Landry and K’Laivon Chaisson contributed half of the Patriots’ 30 sacks so far this season. With Chaisson soon to be a free agent, the team must get reinforced. While their draft capital is limited, the defense should be a priority, especially as much of the roster, including Drake Maye, is on rookie contracts.
