Nelly Korda recently spoke about what young golfers should focus on as they grow in the sport. The Solheim Cup’s official Instagram account posted her message on November 24, giving juniors a look at the mindset she believes can carry them forward.

Korda secured her spot on the 2024 U.S. Solheim Cup team through points, marking her fourth straight appearance after playing in 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024. She has a 7-4-1 career record at the event and has contributed 7.5 points to Team USA. Last year, she paired with Megan Khang during the matches.

Sharing her advice for junior golfers, Korda said:

“My advice is to to focus on your own golf and what is currently in front of you, then I bet you that good golf will take you far.”

The Solheim Cup caption reflected on her journey from junior golf to becoming a role model:

“In 2015, she was making handshakes with @megan_khang. Today, she’s inspiring the next generation. @nellykorda’s advice for juniors aiming for the PING Junior Solheim Cup.”

The 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup will be played on September 7–8 at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands. Twelve of Europe’s top girls, aged 12 to 18, will take on the American team on the same course that will host the Solheim Cup later that week. Looking ahead, the 2028 Solheim Cup is set for September 8–10 at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

Nelly Korda’s LPGA season, meanwhile, was strong but winless. She teed it up in 19 events, made every cut, and posted nine top-10 finishes, including a third-place showing at the CME Group Tour Championship, which was her final event of the season.

Nelly Korda reflects on a consistent yet winless LPGA season

The 2025 season was only the third in Nelly Korda’s LPGA career without a win, after 2017 and 2020. She closed her year at the CME Group Tour Championship, playing in the final pairing with world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul and finishing third after carding a 68, which included a hole-out eagle from a fairway bunker on the 11th.

Reflecting on the week, Korda said,

“Obviously, the main goal was to finish on top, but after my first day I did give it a run for it, even though the leaders were super far ahead. Always felt like I was playing catchup, in a sense.”

She added, “Overall, yeah, another year. I’m grateful for it all. Grateful for the highs, lows, and grateful for my team.”

Nelly Korda finished the CME Group Tour Championship with scores of 71-64-65-68 at Tiburon Golf Club. She is expected to start her 2026 LPGA season on January 29 at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions
