Las Vegas Raiders coach Klint Kubiak wants superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby to remain with the franchise amid trade rumors around the player. Earlier this week, reports claimed that the Raiders are asking for two first-round picks and aplayer in exchange for Crosby, who signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension with Las Vegas in the 2025 offseason.

On Wednesday, Kubiak expressed his desire to keep Crosby in Las Vegas.

“It’s a guy that we really want on our team,” Kubiak said. “It’s as simple as that. We want Maxx to be a Raider, and the few interactions that I’ve had with him have been very positive. Really excited about working with Maxx this year.”

Crosby has been with the Raiders since they drafted him in the fourth round in 2019. He has earned five Pro Bowl honors in the past five seasons, establishing himself as one of the finest DE’s in the league.

However, toward the end of last season, Crosby was reported to be furious with the Raiders for placing him on the injured reserve list. He missed the final two games of the 2025 regular season due to a knee injury, despite his desire to play for the team.

Klint Kubiak’s Raiders have the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL draft. They are projected to land Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the top selection.

The Raiders finished with a 3-14 record last season, which was the first and only under Pete Carroll.

The Raiders fired Carroll in January and replaced him with Kubiak on Feb. 9.
