Joey Bosa is a free agent this offseason, after playing the 2025 season with the Buffalo Bills. However, his mother, Cheryl, has hinted that the defensive lineman could join the San Francisco 49ers to play alongside his younger brother, Nick.
On Saturday, Cheryl shared an AI-generated image of Nick and Joey in San Francisco uniforms.

Joey and Nick played as defensive ends for Ohio State before going pro. However, the brothers’ careers with the Buckeyes never overlapped.

Joey Bosa helped the Bills reach the playoffs in the 2025 season

In his lone season with the Bills, Joey Bosa recorded 29 tackles (17 solo), 5.0 sacks, 9.0 tackles for loss, and five forced fumbles in 15 regular-season games. He helped Buffalo qualify for the playoffs as they finished second in the AFC East.
Bosa’s Bills beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild-card round. However, Buffalo crashed out of the playoffs with a 33-30 loss in overtime to the Denver Broncos in the divisional round.
It will be interesting to see if Bosa will sign with San Francisco and join his brother for the 2026 season.
