Nick Kyrgios dismisses doubts, says he’ll beat Sabalenka even without 100% effort

Nick Kyrgios is one of the most interesting figures on the tennis scene. The 30-year-old Australian is someone who likes to get involved in various projects and challenges, wanting to show his worth but also entertain the crowd and tennis fans.

Earlier this year, Kyrgios announced that he and Aryna Sabalenka planned to stage a singles match.

This concept has a long history; ever since 1973, when Billie Jean King defeated Bobby Rigg, a moment that older tennis fans remember. Years later, other matches of men against women were held, and this concept proved to be great, as the public often emphasizes how important it is to promote tennis in such a way.

Kyrgios looks forward to such a challenge, being optimistic about this duel, but at the same time shows serious respect for his opponent.

Nick Kyrgios dismisses doubts, says he’ll beat Sabalenka even without 100% effort

“We both have one serve, but my court is smaller. They’re going to figure out the dimensions. Me and Sabalenka are in the same agency, and she’s awesome, by the way, I got to know her better. I’m super excited for it, and I think she’s one of those players who genuinely thinks she is going to win.”- he said, as quoted by Tennis Infinity.

Kyrgios reveals whether he will play at 100%

Some are skeptical that the experienced tennis player will give his best and try to beat his opponent, which was of particular interest to the audience.

Kyrgios immediately dismissed such rumors, emphasizing that he will beat his opponent, but it seems that he will not give 100% of himself.

The Australian tennis player seems so confident believing that he can beat her even with less than 100%, but time will tell how successful he will be in doing so.

In addition, the famous tennis player feels that she will not be able to return his serve, so he can use chip and drop shots.

“She’s not gonna beat me. Do you really think I have to try at 100 percent? No, no. I’m going to try.”– he said.
