On Sunday, January 24, LIV Golf star Patrick Reed claimed the Hero Dubai Desert Classic 2025. He fired an even-par 72 to finish at 18-under and post a four-shot win over Andy Sullivan.
Following his win, Reed said he was still a free agent on LIV and was still “finalizing the contract” with just two weeks to go before the fresh season. He insisted that he was looking forward to teeing it up there in Riyadh, and he would be surprised if he didn’t.
Reed does not play on the PGA Tour, as he is suspended due to his LIV Golf allegiance. However, he continues to play on the DP World Tour and Asian Tour whenever he is not on LIV duty.
In his last ten non-LIV Golf starts, Patrick Reed has not missed a cut and has registered two top-ten finishes. Besides winning the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on Sunday, he also had a T3 finish at the BMW PGA Championship.
