Rickey Smiley Responds To Katt Williams’s Attack On Him
During the chat, he accused Rickey Smiley of lying about being the original choice to play Money Mike in Friday After Next.
Smiley addressed that on his show.
“I had no reason to lie about that. When Katt Williams did it they added that whole pimp twist to that character, which was actually a better decision and made it funnier. There was no way in the hell I could have executed that role like that, and I’m glad that they made that decision and they put me in the Santa Claus role which was actually perfect … had no reason to lie about that.”
Smiley then got his old manager on the phone. He confirmed that the role was initially offered to Smiley — and that they flew out to LA, assuming it was in the bag. However, when they arrived, there had been a change of plans, and they had offered the role to Williams and switched Smiley to the Santa role.
