As 2026 inches closer, Scottie Scheffler seemed to have put other golfers on notice with his plans for the upcoming season. The World No. 1 shared some insights about his preparations and highlighted his wish to work on his fitness.

Scheffler’s 2025 season was a successful one, but he struggled initially due to his hand injury in December 2024. After missing the Sentry this year, he won the PGA Championship, The Open, and other events on the PGA Tour. Moreover, he made the cut in all his 20 outings and bagged 17 top-10 finishes.

However, Scottie Scheffler’s 2024 season was even more dominant. Before he won the Masters in 2024, he had already bagged back-to-back wins on the Tour by clinching the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship. Moreover, Scheffler also won the FedEx Cup and the Olympic Gold medal in men’s individual competition in 2024.

Considering the kind of success he enjoyed in 2024, Scheffler has shared his aim to get his “body back to where it was in 2024.” If he succeeds in reaching the form he had in 2024, it might present a serious challenge to other golfers on the Tour. The golfer said (quotes via Golf Digest):

“When I talk about strength, it’s basically getting my body back to where it was in 2024. So that’s something that would be basically unnoticeable to anybody but myself just based upon how I feel. Then using the time that I have here at home to get my body into a good place to where I could go out and compete another 20, 22 weeks out on tour…”

“…just wanted to kind of maximize this offseason in terms of getting my body in a good place to where I could go out and compete and have good energy, have a good mind and just overall being a bit healthier in a sense.”

The PGA Tour pro had mentioned earlier on social media that he maintained strength and flexibility to be ready for the game. Apart from that, Scottie Scheffler also gave fans a glimpse of his workout routine in one of his Instagram videos.

When Scottie Scheffler shared his fitness routine ahead of 2025 Ryder Cup

Before this year’s Ryder Cup, Scottie Scheffler posted a video of his fitness routine in a gym before stepping into Bethpage Black. He tagged his longtime performance coach, Dr. Troy Van Biezen, in the caption and wrote:

“Prepping for Bethpage took a mixture of General Physical Preparation (GPP) and Specific Physical Preparation (SPP) – @chirosporttvb worked on a crafted plan ahead of the @rydercupusa 🇺🇸”

Scheffler and Dr. Biezen have been working together since the former was just 14 years old. Despite his initial hesitation, the golfer became active in the gym when his back pain led to several withdrawals during his days at the University of Texas.

However, Scottie Scheffler worked on his fitness through cardio, strength training, and other exercises, as he admitted having healed from aches from his college days.
