NFL analyst Mina Kimes is among several football personalities to have voiced their anger over the shooting of Renee Good by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Minneapolis on Wednesday.

Kimes called out the shooting in an X post, saying “real people” should feel angry about it.

“The ghouls on this app are reacting to this the way you’d expect, but they are not real people,” Kimes wrote on X. “Real people, your neighbors, friends, anyone with a conscience, see this and feel angry and sad. Real people know it’s wrong.”

Outkick’s Bobby Burack, a right-wing analyst, accused the ESPN journalist of using “selectively shot videos to make her point” in his X post:

“Mina Kimes is certain that the ICE agent is in the wrong. She belittled anyone who disagrees with her as ‘not a real human.’ Well, that is simply not true. And she appears to have used selectively shot videos to make her point. She’s in over her head.”

Fellow right-wing analyst Jon Root slammed Kimes by commenting on Burack’s post:

“Insane how she constantly claims to be the moral authority and on the right side of history, while defending lawlessness over and over again. She needs Jesus.”

According to Burack, Outkick has reached out to Kimes for clarification over her comments on Friday.

NFL analyst joins Mina Kimes in sharing his frustation over the Minnesota shooting

Apart from Mina Kimes, NFL analyst and podcast host Nick Wright shared his reaction to the controversial shooting on his “What’s Wright?” podcast episode this week.

“After the tragedy in Minnesota yesterday, I ask a very simple question: What are we OK with? I truly believe this is worth your time,” Wright captioned his video on X. “Also, don’t argue in the comments. Don’t even read them.”

The controversial incident has divided opinion on social media, while residents of Minnesota have taken to the streets to protest the shooting.
