Shedeur Sanders makes major claim about Donald Trump after President’s endorsement of Browns QB

Shedeur Sanders makes major claim about Donald Trump after President

Shedeur Sanders grabbed headlines when he led the Cleveland Browns to a 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in his first NFL start in Week 12 on Sunday. Sanders received plenty of praise from fans, and even U.S. President Donald Trump gave the rookie quarterback a shoutout on social media Monday.

“Shedeur Sanders was GREAT,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Wins first game, career start, as a pro (for Cleveland). Great Genes. I TOLD YOU SO!”

On Wednesday, Sanders was asked about Trump’s post for him, and the Browns QB said he was appreciative of the President’s gesture.

“He’s always been a supporter (of me),” Sanders said.

In April, Trump slammed NFL owners for not taking Sanders early in the draft. The former Colorado QB slid to the fifth round on the third and final day of the event when the Browns took Sanders with the No. 144 pick.

In his first start for Cleveland, Sanders went 11 of 20 for 209 yards with one touchdown and an interception against the Raiders. He was also sacked once for a loss of three yards.

On Monday, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that Sanders will start for the Browns against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13 on Sunday.

On Wednesday, a reporter told Shedeur Sanders that his fans were accusing Browns coach Kevin Stefanski of sabotaging him. However, the rookie QB was quick to shut down the rumors.

“So you just wanna start trouble, huh?” Sanders said.

Sanders then described his relationship with Stefanski.

“What people do outside of the building is really not in my control. It’s not in my power. … Overall, I’m just happy to be here. Coach Stefanski been coaching since I got here and he been doing a very good job with everything that’s going on.”

It will be interesting to see if Sanders can lead the Browns to victory in his first start at home on Sunday.
