Aaron Rodgers is set to become a free agent this offseason after playing the 2025 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. While there has been speculation about the veteran quarterback’s future in the NFL, Rodgers appeared to address some of the off-field rumors that he has been associated with in the past few years.
Rodgers appeared on the “Pat McAfee Show” on Wednesday and called out some of his former partners.
“I dealt with clinically bipolar, I dealt with depressed relevance-seeking,” Rodgers said. “I dealt with people that wanted to search out other possibilities before they could commit to me, and then they go on TV talking about how I ruined their lives and all this sh*t. I just want to say, ‘Move on with your life. Stop lying about me. Just move on with your life and be happy.’”

Although Rodgers, a four-time MVP, didn’t take names, he appeared to slam actress Shailene Woodley, with whom he was engaged from 2021 to 2022.
In December 2024, Woodley described her relationship with Rodgers as a “toxic situation” that led to a “deep depression.”
Rodgers also had a relationship with former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick from 2018 to 2020. In May last year, Patrick said that the NFL star was “emotionally abusive” and that her breakup with Rodgers was the “most amount of pain” she experienced.

Aaron Rodgers opens up on life with his wife Brittany

On the “Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers opened up about his marriage to his wife, Brittani. The QB also said that he first met her in 2017, before he dated Patrick and Woodley.
“I knew that there was something crazy special about this, and I wanted to be with her,” Rodgers said. “And she would make funny comments like, ‘I would never live in Green Bay,’ and ‘I don’t want to be a player’s wife.’ She’s just not a public person.”
In June 2025, Rodgers told McAfee that he married Brittani “a couple of months ago.”
Rodgers has yet to announce whether he will return to the NFL for the 2026 season.
