Taylor Swift has given Travis Kelce a new nickname.
British DJ and producer Chris Lake revealed Friday that his electronic version of “Opalite,” a track from Swift’s latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” is available for preorder on CD.
Alongside the announcement, Lake posted screenshots of messages with Kelce that showed how the collaboration came together.
Reposting Lake’s Instagram post, Swift on Friday wrote,

“Confirmed, Travis is my in-house house guy.”
She also attached the preorder link for the limited-edition CD.

As per Chris Lake’s post, Kelce and Swift had “hit” him about an official remix.
The talks on Instagram began Jan. 16 after Lake learned Swift and Kelce had been listening to his music.
“Travis! How’s it going. Just heard you and Taylor were listening to my tracks,” Lake wrote. “Great to hear. I’m going to take a crack at remixing this track for her. No idea how I’ll get on, but I’ll do my best.”
Kelce responded:
“Chris! You’re a legend bro love everything you come out with, and ‘Chemistry’ is one of my favorite albums I listen to right now !! Can’t wait to see how you put it together man.”
By the following day, Lake told Kelce he had “something really cool” in progress and just needed to trim it down.
On Jan. 20, after Lake sent the finished track, Kelce replied:
“It’s so good dawg. I’m gonna be ripping this s**t every car ride. She [Taylor Swift] loves it too!! She said her team’s gonna reach out ASAP.”
In the caption, Chris said he received Kelce’s permission to publicly post the screenshot of the direct messages.
In an interview with Capital FM in October, Taylor Swift revealed the song “Opalite” has been inspired by Kelce’s birthstone opal.
“I thought it was kind of cool metaphor,” she said. “[Opalite is] a man-made opal, and happiness can also be man-made, too. So, that’s kind of what the song is about, kind of the juxtaposition of those two.”
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift announced their engagement on Aug. 26.

Taylor Swift’s fans speculated the pop star threw shade at Travis Kelce’s ex-GF Kayla Nicole in “Opalite” song
Taylor Swift’s song “Opalite” from her album, “The Life of a Showgirl” contains lyrics like:
“You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose.”
After the album dropped on Oct. 3, NFL fans speculated the lines were a subtle jab at Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole.
One clip, posted by a fan on X on Sept. 26, showed Nicole filming with her phone while sitting beside Kelce. As she turned the camera toward him, the Chiefs tight end appeared visibly irritated while holding a drink.
“No, no,” Nicole said in the video.
“Then get the cameras off of me,” Kelce replied.
Nicole responded, “Just be sexy.”
In another video, Kelce was frustrated about Nicole being on her phone.
“Just drink the wine so we can go,” Kelce said. “Oh my God. Get off your phone.”
Nicole pushed back.
“If someone would pay me attention, I wouldn’t have to go on social media and seek validation from a bunch of strangers,” she said.
Travis Kelce and Kayla Nicole dated on and off from 2017 until 2022.
