The Indianapolis Colts had a remarkable start to the season, making them one of the favorites for the playoffs. During their solid first half of the campaign, Colts owner Carlie Isray-Gordon received praise for being involved with the team.
Gordon, who became a familiar presence on the sidelines with a headset and a clipboard, was praised for learning about the game and driving their playoff push. However, the Colts are on the verge of being eliminated from the postseason race after five consecutive defeats.
Amid the Colts’ wretched run in the second half, NFL analyst Tyrone Johnson called out the Colts’ owner for her antics on the sidelines during Indianapolis’ games. Johnson accused Gordon of “micromanaging” Colts coach Shane Steichen from the sidelines.
“Micromanaging is the reason why now they are 8-7 I noticed that all those pieces have suddenly disappeared. … Now that they’re losing, Can we agree that that was always stupid. It was stupid when they were winning, and it’s stupid now, and the owner should stay the hell away from it.

“Yes, she can know what’s going on, of course, she can have a headset up in the box, but to stand on the sideline micromanaging your coach was wrong when they were winning, and it’s just as wrong.”
NFL analyst feels Charlie Isray-Gordon’s presence didn’t impact Colts’ season
The Colts’ losing run has seemingly turned the fans on the Indianapolis owner. However, Tyrone Johnson feels that Charlie Isray-Gordon’s presence on the sidelines didn’t affect the team’s performance.
“Now, can I get a think piece this upcoming Sunday about how perhaps she led to the to the demise of the team,” Johnson said. “Can we get a think piece of how maybe she made no difference at all, because I don’t. I did not like it in the beginning and I don’t like it now either.”
The Colts, who were running away with the AFC South title at one point, are third in the division behind the Jacksonville Jaguars (11-4) and the Houston Texans (10-5) with an 8-7 record.
