Luther Burden’s girlfriend, Kendall Minglae, posted an Instagram story on Jan. 11 about their first meeting during his Missouri Tigers career. She said the Chicago Bears wide receiver invited her to a game while calling himself a bench player. He scored five touchdowns in front of Minglae.
Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton shared his opinion about her story on Saturday.
“The devil still lying in 2026,” Newton said, via “4th and 1 With Cam Newton.” “Man, you always know because how did they meet? Social media. He had a blue check. He knew he wasn’t regular, and given the timetable of his blue check, he couldn’t have paid for the blue check.
“Another thing, if he’s inviting you to a game, what did you wear to the game? You could play some dumb but I’m not no dumb, kings and queens. That’s out there using a guy giving the talent to the best of their ability. Please don’t fall victim to the person that you’re dating, not thinking that they are aware who you exactly are.”
