Cameron Young earned the biggest payday of the week after winning the 2026 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. He closed with a four-under 68 in the final round to finish at 13 under par and claim the title. His win at the Players Championship brought a prize of $4.5 million from the tournament’s $25 million purse.
The Players Championship remains one of the richest events on the PGA Tour schedule, with only the season ending Tour Championship offering a bigger purse.
Matt Fitzpatrick finished one shot behind Young at 12 under par to take second place. The Englishman received $2.725 million for his runner-up finish at the Players Championship.
Xander Schauffele and Robert MacIntyre completed the top four on the leaderboard, earning $1.725 million and $1.225 million respectively. With such a large purse at the Players Championship several players near the top of the leaderboard also secured seven-figure payouts.
