Following the second round of the Players Championship 2026, Ludvig Åberg has taken the 36-hole lead. The Swedish star fired a 9-under 63 on Day 2 to aggregate at 12-under and hold a three-stroke lead over Xander Schauffele.
The third round of the Players Championship will begin on Saturday, March 14, at 8:15 a.m. ET, with Seamus Power beginning from the first hole. Patrick Cantlay and Michael Brennan will tee off as the first pair of the day at 8:20 a.m. ET. The leader group, featuring Aberg and Schauffele, will start the action at 2:35 p.m. ET.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is grouped with Si Woo Kim and will tee off at 9:25 a.m. ET. Rory McIlroy and Joe Highsmith will tee off for the third round of the Players Championship at 9:55 a.m. ET.
Currently, both Scheffler and McIlroy are way down the leaderboard and will need a strong Day 3 to put themselves in contention at TPC Sawgrass.
