After Carrie’s announcement she would be singing for President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, Whoopi let her opinion slip but then retracted it.

The only panelist who thought it was somewhat of a good move was Alyssa Farah Griffin. Seemingly, Carrie is trying to unite America and Alyssa thinks it was a good move. Furthermore, she believes America needs to move past “canceling” someone’s livelihood over politics. But Joy Behar asserts she “wouldn’t do it” if she was Carrie. Likewise, several others echoed that while they “haven’t been asked” to sing, they would reject the invite if it was for Donald Trump. While the subject almost ended as soon as it started, Whoopi Goldberg made a splash with her response to Carrie’s choice.
