Toni Nadal applauds Carlos Alcaraz’s dominant US Open win over Jannik Sinner

Carlos Alcaraz claimed his sixth Major title at the US Open in dominant style. The Spaniard ousted his greatest rival Jannik Sinner 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory in two hours and 42 minutes at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

The Spaniard’s latest success drew glowing praise from Toni Nadal. The famous coach underlined the magnitude of the young Spaniard’s performance and the impact of his success.

Alcaraz avenged the Wimbledon final loss and prevented his rival from catching up with him on the all-time list. Toni emphasized that Sinner was not at his sharpest pace in the title match.

However, the famous coach admitted that the outcome would have been no different had the Italian raised his level. The Spaniard’s blend of power, precision and relentless pressure proved overwhelming.

The 22-year-old performed at a high level in every department and left world no. 1 without the tools to challenge him and chase the historic title defense. The victory highlighted Carlos’ extended rise as the dominant force of his generation. It also cemented his reputation as one of the sport’s most reliable performers in decisive matches, holding a 6-1 record in Major finals.

With six Major trophies in his cabinet at 22, Alcaraz’s ability to deliver in finals remains unmatched among his peers. For Toni Nadal, the US Open was a milestone that reconfirmed Carlos’ special qualities.

With the title and 2000 ATP points, Carlos dethroned Jannik from world no. 1 spot after 65 weeks. Jannik did not play at his best, but even if he did, he would not have been able to challenge the Spaniard the way he played,” Toni Nadal said.
