Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase was stunned after the Baltimore Ravens acquired Maxx Crosby on Friday. They traded two first-round picks to the Las Vegas Raiders for the five-time Pro Bowl pass rusher, bolstering their defense for the upcoming season.
On Saturday, a clip of Chase getting the news about Crosby’s trade went viral. It shows a clip of the Bengals star playing ‘Arc Raiders,’ during which he revealed that quarterback Joe Burrow informed him of the trade.
“Joe just f****g text me. Ravens traded for Maxx Crosby. No f****g s**t,” Chase said. “No f*****g s**t brother. I’m f*****g highly pissed right now. Oh my god. F*****g, how the f**k do we let this n***a go to the f****g division bro.”

The video quickly went viral, garnering two million views on X. Ja’Marr Chase sounded frustrated because Crosby will now be playing in the AFC North, where both the Ravens and the Bengals compete for bragging rights.
However, last season, both teams failed to qualify for the playoffs. The Ravens finished with an 8-9 record, whereas the Bengals put up a 6-11 record. It was the Pittsburgh Steelers who emerged as conference champions and competed in the postseason. However, they were eliminated by the Houston Texans in a wild-card showdown.
The Raiders drafted Crosby with the 106th pick back in 2019. In seven years, he has played in 110 games and recorded 439 total tackles, 69.5 sacks and 133 tackles for loss. However, the five-time Pro Bowler made the playoffs just once with the team.

NFL analyst warns Ravens after they trade two first-round picks for Maxx Crosby
Maxx Crosby is considered one of the best pass rushers in the league. However, NFL analyst Sam Monson was skeptical about the Ravens giving up two first-round picks for the five-time Pro Bowler.
He shared a tweet on Friday expressing his doubts that Crosby might be past his prime.
“I get why the Ravens were desperate for pass rush after last season, but I wouldn’t give up 2x 1sts for Maxx Crosby. He’s dropped off after those injuries, is almost 29. You may never be getting peak Crosby,” Monson wrote.
Crosby missed the last two games of the 2025 season due to a knee injury. He recorded 73 total tackles while the Raiders finished with a disappointing 3-14 record.
On the other hand, the Ravens were ranked No.24 in terms of total defense in 2025. They allowed an average of 354.5 yards and 42 TDs while finishing second in the AFC North.
