Wide receiver AJ Brown has been under the spotlight throughout the season because he was dissatisfied with his diminishing role on the offense. The rumor mill started churning about how the Super Bowl LIX champion was looking to get traded.

However, the Philadelphia Eagles decided not to trade Brown before the Nov. 4 deadline. On Thursday, he was asked if he wanted to continue playing for the Eagles. DeVona Smith was next to him, listening to the conversation.

His reaction to AJ Brown answering the media’s question about playing for the Eagles went viral on social media.

When asked about staying with the Eagles, Brown had a simple response:

“Have I said to not being here or something like that?”

AJ Brown began his NFL journey with the Tennessee Titans in 2019. In 2022, the Eagles acquired him via a trade. The WR agreed to a four-year deal worth $100 million before signing a three-year $96 million extension in April 2024.

This season, Brown has played in seven games for the Eagles. He has recorded 395 yards and five TDs receiving while being targeted 51 times on the field. Things have been improving for the WR on the field with each game. However, he suffered a hamstring injury, resulting in him missing out on their 38-20 victory over the Giants in Week 8.

Brown was a full participant during Thursday’s practice session. He said that he will be ready to take the field during Monday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman shares his honest take on AJ Brown’s future with the team

On Tuesday, GM Howie Roseman highlighted that despite the rumors, the Eagles had no plans to part ways with the three-time Pro Bowler. They have faith in his talent and said that he is an important part of the roster.

“I think when you’re trying to be a great team, it’s hard to trade great players, AJ Brown is a great player,” Roseman said as per ESPN. “He wears a ‘C’ for a reason. He’s an important part of this team, of this organization.

“He cares about winning, he cares about his teammates, and I think when you’re a team like ours that is looking forward to an opportunity to compete for a championship, you just don’t get rid of guys like that.”

The Eagles vs Packers Week 10 game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC, and NFL+.
