Wesley Bryan Wants $6B-Worth NBA Stakeholder To Replace ‘Muppets’ at PGA Tour Leadership

Former PGA Tour pro Wesley Bryan recently said that entrepreneur Mark Cuban should run the PGA Tour instead of the ‘muppets’ in leadership. He said golf needed someone in sports but outside of golf, and the $6B-worth ex-Dallas Mavericks stakeholder would be a ‘fantastic leader’.

Bryan is a professional golfer who also runs a channel named Bryan Bros on YouTube with his brother George. Recently, he shot a lie detector video with Takomo Golf, where he was asked about his take on the PGA Tour’s leadership.

“As the New Zealand squad would say, I think that most of them are muppets,” he replied.

On being further asked about his idea of a leader, Wesley Bryan named Mark Cuban to take the helm of leadership.

“George and I were actually talking about this,” he said. “I think if you had somebody that was outside of golf, but in sport. If you had someone like Mark Cuban come in and run, that’s business savvy, sports savvy, and very influential, I think that someone like him would be a fantastic leader of the organization.”

When did Wesley Bryan last play on the PGA Tour?

Wesley Bryan’s last start on the PGA Tour was at the Puerto Rico Open 2025, where he missed the cut. This was his third start of the season and second missed cut of the year. However, it proved to be his last start on the PGA Tour after he was suspended by the Tour.

For the uninitiated, the PGA Tour suspended Wesley Bryan after he participated in the LIV Golf Duels, a creators’ event of the Saudi-backed circuit. The popular influencer has repeatedly spoken about this, and recently he also wrote a letter to the PGA Tour for his reinstatement. However, the Tour’s response left him disappointed.

“We got a response saying they reviewed the letter,” Bryan told Dan Rappaort. “But it was from basically their assistant saying ‘no conversation is necessary.’ That was pretty difficult. Like, why can’t we talk on the phone for 10 or 15 minutes?”

Recently, Brooks Koepka returned to the PGA Tour after leaving LIV Golf in December. Similarly, Patrick Reed also left the Saudi-backed circuit ahead of the fresh season and is actively competing on the DP World Tour. He will be eligible to play on the PGA Tour in August.

Bryan’s last international start was at the DP World Tour’s BMW International Open 2025, where he tied for 64th.
