The Players Championship 2026 will resume with its first round on Friday, March 13, at 8:50 a.m. ET. The tournament on Thursday was suspended due to darkness at 7:37 p.m. ET, and four players are yet to complete their round one. The game will resume on Friday, while the second round will start at 7:40 a.m. ET.

After Thursday’s round, Maverick McNealy took the lead in the game, tied with Lee Hodges, Sepp Straka, Shane Lowry, and Austin Smotherman, who is yet to complete his round one. The other three players who are to complete their opening round are Zach Bauchou, Sudarshan Yellamaraju, and AJ Ewart.

This week’s The Players Championship features some top-ranked golfers, including Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Chris Gotterup, and many others. Notably, the play on Thursday was initially affected by inclement weather, and the tournament was delayed for 21 minutes. However, it was again suspended due to darkness.

Golfers will tee off in the second round of The Players Championship on Friday, March 13, in groups of three. Players will tee off on the first and tenth tee holes.

Tom Hoge will start his game on the first tee hole in a group with Denny McCarthy and Nicolai Højgaard, while on the tenth Lee Hodges, Andrew Putnam, and Sam Stevens will tee off on the tenth hole.
