The Arnold Palmer Invitational 2026 was suspended on Saturday due to darkness. The tournament kicked off with its inaugural round on Thursday and had its third round on Saturday. However, the play was affected by heavy rainfall in Orlando, Florida, and it was initially suspended at 2:53 pm ET.
However, the game resumed at 4 pm before again getting suspended at 6:30 pm ET due to darkness. Some players are yet to complete their game and will resume with their third round on Sunday at 8 am ET. Following the third round, the final round will start at around 9:30 am ET.
Per the Weather Network, there is also a chance of rainfall on Sunday in Orlando, Florida. The morning is likely to be sunny, but there is around a 90 percent chance of precipitation in the afternoon with 5 mm of rainfall. If the weather affects the play, the tournament might have a delayed end.
Meanwhile, after three rounds, Daniel Berger has extended his lead in the game. He is yet to complete the third round.
Arnold Palmer Invitational 2026 Round 3 leaderboard
Daniel Berger has been phenomenal with his game at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He carded the first two rounds of 63 and 68. However, he is yet to play the three holes of the third round.
After the semi-finished third round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, he settled with a score of 13 under, having a two-stroke lead over Akshay Bhatia, who is also yet to complete his third round. Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy has withdrawn from the game ahead of the start of the third round due to a back injury. He carded two rounds of 72 and 68. Austin Smotherman has also withdrawn from the event after playing two rounds of 74 and 71.
