Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s wife, Hailee Steinfeld, did not attend the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday.
She missed being there for her film “Sinners,” which went onto make history with 16 nominations.
In Wednesday’s edition of her paid newsletter, “Beau Society,” she opened up about the Oscars night.
“How about Sunday night?? I think I cried the whole show!” she wrote. “Between performance (with Jayme and Lili AND Misty Copeland???), and Michael, Ryan, and Ludwig winning, then Autumn accepting her Oscar as Ryan ran her son Aiden up aisle to get a closer look at his mama making history! It was a magical night watching my entire ‘Sinners’ family shine.”

Her absence was also felt at 2026 Oscars.
Her co-star Michael B. Jordan gave her a heartfelt mention during his acceptance speech for Best Actor, telling the audience, “Hailee’s at home, she’s getting ready to have a baby right now.”
Steinfeld is in the final stage of her pregnancy and celebrated her baby shower on Saturday.
The gathering was hosted by her mother, Cheri Steinfeld, in the actress’ backyard. 30 close friends and family members were invited to the gingham-themed bash.
“I can’t believe that this little person, who no one has even met yet, is so loved,” Steinfeld wrote in her newsletter.
The best part of the Saturday’s baby shower was Cheri organizing a knitting station at the event.
“Everyone was able to knit a square; they’re all being sewn together for a baby blanket as we speak!” Steinfeld wrote. “It’s a very full-circle moment for me because my mom took up knitting when I made my first movie.”
She wore a Stella McCartney dress with black boots for the special occasion while flaunting her baby bump.
Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen announced they were expecting their first child on Dec. 12.
Steinfeld later revealed in her newsletter, “Beau Society” that she had spent few months in an “in-between stage” where her body was changing rapidly before the actress was ready to share the news on Instagram.
